My stay at the Pullman Auckland Airport Hotel was one of the most satisfying airport hotel experiences I’ve had—modern, convenient, and surprisingly stylish, with thoughtful service and a lively bar that made the overnight stop feel like a real trip highlight.

Travel Story – Pullman Auckland Airport Hotel
Arrival & Check-In
I booked the room directly through the official website, using a voucher as payment. The check-in process was handled smoothly in the spacious lobby downstairs. Everything felt new and polished—the hotel had only recently opened, and its proximity to the airport made it incredibly convenient. Walking from the terminal to the hotel took just a few minutes, which solved the usual stress of catching an early flight.

The Room
- Type: Twin room. The beds were large, comfortable, and perfect for resting after a long journey.
- Design: Each bed had its own headboard and bedside setup, making the room feel both practical and cozy.
- Bathroom: This was a standout feature. The design achieved complete dry/wet separation, with separate doors for the toilet and shower. It was one of the most thorough bathroom layouts I’ve seen in an airport hotel.

Atmosphere & Facilities
- The hotel’s bar was lively in the evening, almost full of guests. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, and I enjoyed sitting there with a drink.
- As a Silver member, I received complimentary welcome drinks, which we used at the bar. We ordered juice and some light snacks, which were fresh and satisfying.
- The bar also displayed flight information, a thoughtful touch for travelers needing to keep an eye on departure times.

Location & Convenience
- The hotel’s location was unbeatable—right next to Auckland Airport. It solved two major problems: catching early flights and handling last-minute shopping.
- There were at least two nearby places for shopping:
- The airport terminal shops, perfect for slow browsing the night before.
- A mall about 15 minutes’ walk away, with a supermarket and food options. Prices there were noticeably better than inside the airport.
Membership & Value
To stay here, I first obtained a voucher by joining the Accor membership program. The cost was about HKD 1,500, which immediately gave me Silver status and included benefits like dining discounts and room upgrades. Looking back, the savings from food and lodging quickly covered the membership fee, and the free night at Pullman was the most tangible reward.
Reflection
Pullman Auckland Airport Hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom design was excellent, and the bar gave the stay a lively social touch. Most importantly, its location made catching my flight stress-free. Among the many airport hotels I’ve stayed in, this one stands out as one of the best.
